Coronavirus Travel Updates
8th June 2020
First of all, a huge thank you to all our amazing customers, who have rebooked their cancelled tours for either later this year or 2021. We know you are itching to get back and we've equally missed you too. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back on board, all be it in a slightly different way. Behind the scenes we have been looking at ways of making your travel the same enjoyable, comfortable experience you have always loved along with new safety measures to give you peace of mind.
Challenging times call for inspiring actions, which we believe we have achieved. Passenger capacity on our vehicles will be reduced, to adhere to social distancing regulations along with how customers access their seats (where we once used one coach, we will now be using two on many of our journeys). Sanitization has been increased, with vehicles undergoing a deep clean, with specialised cleaning products before and after each group. Disinfectant sprays etc will be used to clean the air conditioning units, all hard surfaces for example, grab rails, handles and around each seating area for extra reassurance. Drivers will alight at each stop to administer hand sanitizers and advise the seats in use on the coach. Same households will be able to sit together in seats of two.
All drivers will be wearing face masks and we will be asking all customers to wear a mask and comply with the latest legislation on this matter.
A list of day trips that should have already taken place, were released last week with their new dates. New holiday and ticket events will be released soon for the first half of 2021 so watch this space.
So the main question you all want to know is when we can reopen. Subject to no changes from the Government, phone lines will reopen on the 15th June 2020 for bookings from 09:30hrs to 14:30hrs. The Hythe office will hopefully reopen on the 1st July 2020, with new hours of 10:00hrs to 16:00hrs. (We will be limited to one customer at a time).

A quick update on some of our day excursions we have rescheduled.
- Salisbury was 7.4.20 now Tuesday 4th August 2020
- Raf Hendon was 10.4 20 now Friday 7th August 2020
- Bath was 11.4.20 now Saturday 8th August 2020
- Windsor was 12.4.20 now Saturday 22nd august 2020
- Cardiff was 13.4.20 now Saturday 15th august 2020
- Chichester 15.4.20 now Wednesday 5th August 2020
- Kingston Lacey 19.4.20 now Sunday 9th August 2020
We are still taking bookings for these new dates, so please call 02380 844788 between 9.30 to 1.30 Monday to Friday and your name can be added to the seating plans (payment can be taken when we reopen).
Our two dates for Tutankhamun have been cancelled today and we are awaiting news from them on our refund. Everyone booked on these tours will be contacted with varies options to transfer to other excursions, credit note or refund.
Our holiday to Norfolk Broads and Welsh Landscapes have also been cancelled, again we will contact everyone booked on these tours with various options.

The Prime Minister’s announcement on Sunday 10th May was very positive about moving to the next level of the Coronavirus. Unfortunately it appears we are in the group of businesses that will not be allowed to open until the beginning of July. With this in mind we have suspended our own Waterside tours day excursion and holiday tour program until this time. Please be assured all monies held are protected and covered by our BCH bond.
New dates for all tours falling in this period will be reviewed and advised accordingly when we can reopen. I know all of our staff are keen to return to work and provide the service you love when it is safe to do so. Any refunds will also be processed on their return for tours that cannot be moved forward. I would like to thank you all for your patience at this unprecedented time and kind words.
Private hires of the coaches are still operational with the latest safety and cleaning guides being applied.
17th March 2020
We understand that many of our customers may be anxious about their travel arrangements following the recent announcement from the Government. So anticipating further changes to current advice in the near future, we are reviewing all tours due to leave between the 16th March 2020 and the 30th April 2020.
The following trips will continue to take place:
- Saturday 21st March 2020 Hampton Court
- Sunday 22nd March 2020 Weymouth
Postponed trips are as follows:
- Sunday 29th March 2020 Spike Heritage Centre & Guildford
- 31st March 2020 Adinkerke
- Friday 3rd April 2020 Avon Gorge Cruise & Lunch
- Tuesday 7th April 2020 Salisbury or Wilton
- Friday 10th March 2020 RAF Hendon
All monies from postponed trips will be credited to the new dates.
Cancelled trips are as follows:
- Saturday 4th March 2020 Ideal Homes or Westfields
All monies from cancelled trips will be refunded.
All other future day trips will run as planned at present.
The Holiday to the Norfolk Broads & Steam Cruise on the 27th April 2020 will still be taking place.
We would like to emphasise we are continuing to do everything to minimise the risk of contamination with stringent sanitization of each coach after each group. This include the air conditioning, all hard surfaces, seat belts etc.
You may cancel your confirmed booking at any time before departure. You may also transfer your booking if required to do so. Both may incur fees, depending on how far in advance you make the cancellation/changes.
In the event that we have to cancel your tour, we will refund all monies you have paid to us. We will of course endeavour to offer you comparable alternative arrangements where possible, which you may choose to book in place of those cancelled.
